Albert L. Saucier of Gendron Street died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at St. Vincent De Paul Nursing Home following a period of declining health. He was 83.
Born on September 14, 1926 in Berlin, NH, he was the son of Herbert and Margaret (Labbe) Saucier.
He attended St. Joseph Grade School and then Berlin High School.
In 1952, he married Isola Desgrosselliers. She passed away May 27, 1995 after 43 years of marriage.
Retiring in 1988 after 46 years of service, he worked for Brown Paper Company and then the James River Company in Berlin.
He was a communicant of Guardian Angel Church now known as St Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin.
He was a lifetime member of the Berlin Eagles Club, a member of the Berlin Knights of Columbus Council 506, and enjoyed fishing.
Pre-deceased by brothers: Alcide, Patrick, and Raymond Saucier.
He is survived by a son Lucien Saucier and his wife Kathy of Augusta, Maine
Three Daughters: Lucille Richard and her husband Lenny of Berlin
Deborah Springer and her companion Peter Russell of New Orleans, LA
Donna Gaspard and her husband Bruce of Victoria, TX
Grandchildren: Daniel Saucier, Cassandra Saucier, Jeremy Middleton, Amber Springer, and Aaron Springer.
Brothers: Alphe Saucier and his wife Theresa of Errol, NH
Paul Saucier and his wife Evelyn of Littleton, NH
And Lionel Saucier of Berlin
A sister: Jeanne Tremblay and her husband George of Texas
Sister in law Rita Saucier of Berlin;Several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Wednesday, September 1 at
St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. There are no calling hours.
Burial will follow at the family plot at St. Kieran Cemetery in Berlin.
Memorial donations may be made to the Activity Dept, c/o St. Vincent De Paul Nursing Home, 29 Providence Ave, Berlin, NH 03570.
