Alberta (Woodward) Johnson

Mrs. Alberta (Woodward) Johnson, 95, formerly of Milan Hill Road, Milan, NH passed away on Saturday afternoon Feb. 24, 2007 at the Coos County Nursing Home surrounded by family members. She was born in Dummer, NH on June 13, 1911 the daughter of Fred and Althea (Hawkins) Woodward and had lived her entire life in Dummer and Milan, prior to entering the nursing home. Alberta was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berlin, the Emily Flint Rebekah Lodge and the Order of Eastern Star. She had attended Berlin High School and Gould Academy in Bethel, ME. Members of the family include a daughter Mrs. Clifford (Emily) Tankard of Milan; a son Donald Johnson of Berlin; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Emil Johnson in 1968. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Monday Feb. 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berlin. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation to St. Paul Lutheran Church in her memory.
