Aldea L. (Gagnon) Michaud passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was 98 years old.
Born in Stanstead Quebec Canada on February 23, 1921 she was the daughter of Donat and Rose Anna (Duquette) Gagnon. She attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Aldea was married to Lionel (Mitch) Michaud and together raised three children. She was a member of St. Joseph Church now Good Shepherd Parish.
She loved all of her family and her church. She was a member of the Fraternity of the Third Order of St. Francis and a life member of the VFW auxiliary in Berlin and was a former member of the Ladies of St. Anne of St. Joseph Church.
Aldea was employed at St. Paul School in Concord as a waitress, worked at Woolworth Company Store in East Orange NJ while waiting to be called to work at Thomas Edison Plant NJ for defense during World War II, after the war, she worked for Brown Company at the Onco Plant in Berlin, then worked for Converse Rubber Company Granite State Division as a stitcher in Berlin.
Besides her parents she was predeceased in death by her loving husband Lionel Michaud on October 31, 2002 by a son Gerard (Gerry) Michaud and three grandchildren Dawn, Stephen and Michael; her brothers Leo and Armand Gagnon and sisters Alice LeBlanc, Adrienne Langlais and Beatrice Hanson.
She leaves behind a son Dennis and his wife Rebecca Michaud of Spring Hill, TN, a daughter Celeste Moyer and husband Mario of Florida; grandchildren Rebecca LaJoie, Jean Paul Michaud, Mandy Remillard, David and Philip Michaud; four great-grandchildren Lauren Michaud and Meghan Remillard, Annabelle Michaud and Madelyn Michaud; her sisters Berthe Gagnon of Berlin and Noella Lambert of Stow MA; nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 18th from 10:30am to 12:30pm at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 18th at 1:00pm at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, Berlin, NH. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
