Arthur Lang

Arthur Lang, age 79, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday morning, May 7, 2017 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. Arthur was born in Berlin on January 16, 1938, the son of Arthur & Grace (Delano) Lang. He grew up and went to school in Lancaster NH, then lived in North Conway and Long Beach CA before returning to Berlin. In earlier years, he was employed as a manager of Clarendon Motel in North Conway. He later worked at the Balsams and Eagle Mountain House. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and with the staff at the Coos County Nursing Home where he resided for the past 8 years. He loved dancing, puzzles, and playing his harmonica. Family includes his sister, Lillian Rasmussen & husband, Robert Rasmussen of Berlin NH; one brother, Richard Lang & wife, Linda, of Fallon NV, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur & Grace Lang, and two sisters, Addie Flynn and Viola Shields. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 10AM at the Bryant Funeral Home Chapel, 180 Hillside Ave, Berlin. Interment will follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery, West Dummer NH. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 10th, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the Coos County Nursing Home Activities Dept.
