Barbara J. Pelkey

Barbara Jean Pelkey, 72, of Berlin passed away Wednesday morning April 5, 2017 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Berlin on August 6, 1944 the daughter of the late Gilman Pelletier and Lena Pelkey and was a lifelong resident of the area. Barbara worked at the local paper mills for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, dice, games, listening to music and entertaining. She loved animals, especially her dogs, and spending time with her son and his family. She is survived by her son Aaron Levesque and his wife Dale of Milan; sisters, Doris Levesque of Berlin and Verna Brunson of Bangor, ME; grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by several sisters and brothers. SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Monday April 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society or the ASPCA.
