Bette L. Blake

Bette L. Blake, 78, of Goffstown, died December 17, 2018 following a period of declining health. Born November 15, 1940 in Dummer she was the daughter of Henry and Florence (Sias) Young. She graduated from Berlin High School Class of 1957. She married her husband Ellsworth Blake in 1957 and in 1964 they moved to Hooksett to raise their children. Bette resided there until moving to Goffstown in 2008. She enjoyed watching T.V., especially soap operas, bird watching and attending services at Bible Baptist Church of Weare. However, her greatest joy in life came from the time she was able to spend with her family. Bette was predeceased by her husband Ellsworth Blake in 1996 and her son Elwin Blake in 2008. She is survived by six children Susan Blake, Mary Melendy, Barbara McGuire, Nancy Clair, Blanche Bartlett and Bonnie Olds. 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 10 AM at the Word of God Christian Church on Hill Road, Dummer, NH. Spring burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 AM, prior to the service. The Bryant Funeral Home, Berlin, is in charge of the arrangements.
