Bruce A. Vashaw

Bruce A. Vashaw, 79, of Gorham, NH passed away on Wednesday October 2, 2013 at his home. He was born in Rumford, ME on November 26, 1933 the son of the late Fay and Margaret (Deltwa) Vashaw and came to Berlin at a young age. He resided most of his life in the Berlin-Gorham area, graduated from Berlin High School and was a veteran of the US Navy. Bruce was employed as a car salesman for many years, prior to owning Vashaws Variety Store in Gorham for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Members of the family include his wife Joanne (LeClair) Vashaw of Gorham; son Dan Vashaw of Berlin; brother Robert Vashaw of Gorham; nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. There will be no services. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
