Carleton (Carl) B. Landry, 70, of Milan, NH, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday May 28, 2024. He was born in Berlin, NH on December 22, 1953, the son of the late Fernand O. and Colleen F. (Bergquist) Landry. Carleton attended school in Berlin, and served his country in the US Navy as a Seaman Apprentice. He had been employed by the railroad, was a telephone lineman, and also worked in construction.
His adventurous spirit took him across the country, living in different cities in California, Oregon, and Idaho before returning to Berlin. He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in the Swift Diamond, and trapping in his younger days. He contributed to the community as a director for the Androscoggin Valley Fish & Game Association. Carleton also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and traveling to motorcycle events. He had a big heart and was always willing to help others, especially with his unsolicited advice.
He is survived by his children, Ben Landry and wife Valaree of Boise, ID and Carleton Landry and wife Jessica of Concord, NH; a stepson, Ernie Nelson and Katie of Litchfield, NH. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jasmine, Dylan, Zackary, Sophia and Alexander; 1 great granddaughter Ophelia; siblings Allen Shea of Berlin, NH, Dan Landry and wife Claire of Berlin, NH, Nancy Landry of Berlin, NH, and Richard Landry and wife Christine of Berlin, NH. He will be dearly missed by his longtime companion, Debbie Becker of Milan, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and by a brother, Robert Shea.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin with interment following at St. Anne Cemetery. Relatives and friends may attend calling hours at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Tuesday, June 11th from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
