Carol A. Thompson

Carol A. Thompson, 73, of Gorham, passed away on Monday December 16, 2024 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Millinocket, ME on September 23, 1951 the daughter of the late Nick and Barbara (Hendrick) Thompson and moved to Gorham when she was 14. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and the NH Vocational-Technical School with an Associate Degree. She was a self-employed dog groomer. Carol was dedicated to animal rescue including horses, dogs and mules. She was a dedicated animal advocate and was dedicated to placing animals in good homes. She bred and raised Newfoundland dogs.

 Family includes her sister Catherine Thompson of Gorham, NH and several cousins. She was predeceased her husband, Gary Batchelder.

 Per Carol’s request, there will be no services. The Bryant Funeral Home in Gorham is in charge of the arrangements. Donations in her memory may be made to an animal rescue of one’s choice. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
