Cecile Murphy

Mrs. Cecile (Peters) Murphy, 87, formerly of 25 Whittemore Ave., Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday evening Feb. 9, 2008 at the St. Vincent de Paul Healthcare Center in Berlin. She was born in Berlin, NH on Nov. 6, 1920 the daughter of Patrick and Margaret (Perry) Peters and was a lifelong resident. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Murphy was employed by Granite State Rubber Co., retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Auxiliary to the VFW White Mountain Post #2520 and a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish. Members of the family include a daughter Nancy Grant of Berlin, NH; a son Frederick Murphy of Berlin, NH; three grandchildren Dawn Rand of Berlin, Debra Harmon of Bartlett and Deana Valliere of Berlin; six great grandchildren Jonathan Harmon, Mitchell Harmon, Benjamin Rand, Corey Rand, Evan Valliere and Cameron Valliere; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Roland Frederick Murphy, by two daughters Shirley Grant and Patricia Murphy and by five brothers Wilfred Peters, John Peters, Andrew Peters, Emile Peters and Charles Peters; and by a sister Eva Middleton. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning Feb. 13, 2008 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Interment will be in the Evans Cemetery in Gorham at a later date. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to a charity of ones choice.
