Claire M. Demers

Claire M. Demers, 84, of Gorham, NH passed away on Saturday evening February 12, 2022 at her home. She was born in Berlin, NH on July 23, 1937 the daughter of the late Alfred and Juliette (Allen) Marois and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Claire was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an operator for New England Telephone Co. and later as a self-employed bus driver from Pinkham Notch to Gorham. She enjoyed her time spent at Success Pond at “Camp”, where she had been going since she was an infant. Claire was a member of Holy Family Church in Gorham.



Members of the family include her husband Arthur Demers of Gorham; two sons Allen Demers and his wife Ann Marie of Gorham, NH and James Demers and wife Silvana of Auburn, NH; two daughters Lena-Jean Poulin and husband Roland of New Hampton, NH and Renee Demers and husband Chuck of Berlin, NH; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother Eli Marois of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a sister Suzanne Worcester.
