CLAUDE C. LINNELL JR. FRYEBURG, ME Mr. Claude C. Linnell Jr., 86, of Fryeburg, ME died on Wednesday May 27, 2009 in Auburn, ME after a brave battle with cancer. Claude was born in Colebrook, NH on Aug. 31, 1922 the son of Claude C. Linnell Sr. and Mildred (Storey) Linnell. Along with his wife Mary, he owned and operated his farm in Magalloway Plantation until it burned in 1951. He worked in the woods and operated heavy machinery for many years and retired from Maine DOT in 1981. He was known in this area as The Grader Man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, time with his family and gardening until the end. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Members of the family include his wife of 68 years Mary (Ferren) Linnell of Fryeburg; 2 sons Gary Linnell and his wife Louise of Fryeburg, ME and Claude C. Linnell III and his wife Brenda of England; 3 daughters Elizabeth Paquette and her husband Norman of Magalloway Plantation, ME, Brenda L. Shields of Saco, ME and Mildred Todd and her husband Pablo of Fryeburg, ME; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter. SERVICES: A Memorial Service will be held on Monday evening June 1, 2009 at 6:00 PM at the Wood Funeral Home in Fryeburg, ME. Interment will be at a later date in the Magalloway Plantation Cemetery.
