Conrad Joseph Meunier of Maynesboro Street passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 24, 2013 at his home. He was 86.
Born on April 10, 1927 in St. Liboire, P.Q. Canada, he was the son of Alfred and Marie Rose (Roireau) Meunier. Conrad grew up in Canada and migrated to Berlin to work in the woods as a logger for more than 20 years. He then taught himself carpentry and joined the LOCAL 538 UNITED BROTHERHOOD OF CARPENTERS AND JOINERS OF AMERICA in New Hampshire. He retired in 1988.
Conrad was a communicant of St. Kieran's Church now known as St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. He was also a member of the Berlin Eagles Club and the Juliette Snowshoe Club.
He is pre-deceased by four brothers and a sister.
He is survived by five daughters: Lillian Meunier of Manchester, NH, Lorraine Giardi and husband Richard of East Falmouth, MA, Noella Peacos and husband Fred of North Scituate, RI, Lucy Fontaine and husband Emile of East Providence, RI, and Diane Labrecque and husband Paul of Berlin; a son Leo Meunier of Berlin; four grandchildren: Paul J. Labrecque of Manchester, NH, Shelley Corrigan and husband Andrew of Gorham, Jessica McKay of North Scituate, RI, and Devin Meunier of Berlin; three great-grandchildren: Gavin Lacroix, Ayden Corrigan, and Ethan Corrigan. Several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of his life will be held at 11am Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the parlor of Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH. Burial will follow at St. Kieran's Cemetery in Berlin. Calling hours will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home prior to the service.
