Cynthia F. Gralenski, 76, of Shelburne, NH, passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2020 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehab and Nursing Center. She was born in Gloucester, MA on November 26, 1943 the daughter of the late Otto and Evelyn (Forseman) Wayrynen and grew up in Rockport, MA where she met her husband, John. They moved briefly to Norwalk, CT before moving to Whitefield, NH and later settling in Shelburne, NH in 1974. Cynthia was an active volunteer for AVH Auxiliary and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. She served on the Town of Shelburne Cemetery Committee, the Shelburne Woman’s Club and loved to watch all sporting activities of her children and grandchildren.
Family includes her son Douglas J. Gralenski and wife Pamela of Gorham, NH and Daniel Gralenski and wife Tristen of Bellevue, ID; grandchildren Nicholas, Lauren, Trail and D.J. Gralenski; step granddaughter Devan Hoehn and step great granddaughter Ellison Gray Hoehn; mother Evelyn (Wayrnen) Makkonen of Rockport, MA; a brother Ray Makkonen of Rockport; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Gralenski on September 2, 2019, her step father Reino Makkonen and her brother Everett Wayrynen.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday January 10, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, NH. Interment will be in the spring in the Wheeler Cemetery in Shelburne. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 6 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to Lamb’s Chapel, 214 School Street, Berlin, NH 03570.
