Dennis E. Smith

Dennis E. Smith, 66, of Berlin, NH, passed away on Wednesday August 14, 2024 at his home. He was born in Norway, ME on March 9, 1958 the son the late Homer C. Smith, Jr. and Edith C. (Tyler) Smith and was raised in Bethel, ME. He lived most of his life in Bethel before moving to Berlin 10 years ago. He was a US Army Veteran. Dennis had been employed by the City of Berlin Public Works Department and prior to that, he was self-employed diesel mechanic. He had also worked for Matco John Deere and at Sunday River Ski Area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding in his mustang. Dennis loved to cook.

Family includes his wife Lisa Boivin of Berlin, NH; daughter Kaylee M. Brown and significant other Josh Beeler of Bethel, ME; grandsons Shane and Cade; siblings Larry Smith and wife Sally of North Conway, NH, Kerry Smith and wife Diane of Chester, NH, Bruce Smith and wife Judy of Woodstock, ME, Doug Smith and wife Terry of Walterboro, SC, Christine Dame and significant other Reggie of Rentz, GA and Andy Smith and wife Shannon of West Paris, ME; step-sons Zachary Host and partner Tom of Medford, MA and Justin Host and girlfriend Liz of Gorham, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Cody Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday August 23, 2024 from 1 to 4 PM at the Pleasant River Campground Pavilion, 800 West Bethel Rd (Rte 2) in West Bethel, ME. There will be no calling hours.
