Donald G. Lapointe

Mr. Donald G. Lapointe, 77, of 49 Guilmette St., Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday October 23, 2010 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin. He was born in Berlin, NH on June 7, 1933 the son of Wallace and Mirelda (Champoux) Lapointe and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and was employed by the local paper mill for 43 years, retiring in 1995. He was a lifelong member of the VFW White Mountain Post #2520 in Berlin and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching hockey and walking with his good friend, Gerry. Members of the family include his wife Doris (Nadeau) Lapointe of Berlin, NH: children Donna Trudell and husband James of Lyman, NH, Pamela Lapointe of Gorham, NH, Cynthia Girard and husband Roland of Berlin, NH, Timothy Lapointe and wife Michelle of Berlin, NH, Kevin Lapointe and wife Teresa of Kansas City, MO, Patricia Saunders and husband Chris of Milan, NH and Linda Devoe and husband Roland of Homestead, FL; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings Jacqueline Gagnon of Gorham, NH, Maurice Lapointe of Berlin, NH, Shirley Woodford of Gorham, NH, Sandra Sarno of Saugus, MA and Carol Villeneuve and husband Roland of Berlin, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Robert Lapointe and a sister Nancy Lapointe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday October 28, 2010 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
