Doris D. Viens

Doris Viens, 82, of Berlin, passed away on November 13, 2023 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital after a period of failing health.  She was born on July 22, 1941 in Coaticook, Quebec, Canada the daughter of the late Ernest and Eva Desainde.  She grew up in Coaticook and met her future husband Andre and moved to the United States following their marriage.  For many years the family resided in Nashua, NH prior to moving to Berlin in 1982.  Doris was a talented knitter, making countless items for her children over the years.  She loved to go fishing, snowmobiling, and camping, including several trips with their camper to Prince Edward Island and the coast of Maine.   

Family includes a son Yves Viens of Berlin, NH; daughters Sylvie Perron of New Boston, NH and Joanne Michaud of Berlin, NH; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by a son Claremont Viens, her 9 brothers and two sisters.

Interment will take place privately in the St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery in Nashua, NH next to her husband and son.  There will be no calling hours.  Those who wish may make a donation in her memory to a diabetes organization of their choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to Bryant Funeral Homes, Berlin and Gorham.  Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
