Dorothy Schandler

Mrs. Dorothy B. (McKechnie) Schandler, 99, 40 Promenade Court, Gorham, NH passed away on Thursday evening March 16, 2006 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH. She was born in Burnham, ME on July 15, 1906 the daughter of O.B. McKechnie and Susie (Bell) McKechnie. She resided in Gorham and Florida before returning to live in Gorham in 1985. Mrs. Schandler was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Gorham, was active in the Lions Club in Florida and was an avid reader. Members of her family include two daughters Jean Lary of Gorham, NH and Joan Adams of Gray, ME; eight grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and two nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Schandler and a brother Karl McKechnie. At her request there will be no funeral services. Interment will be in the Mt. Hayes Cemetery in Gorham, NH at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home.
