Edna L. Plante, 94, passed away at St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation & Nursing Center on August 29, 2018
Born in Berlin, NH on January 9, 1924, she was the daughter of Euclid and Josephine McShane Perry, and was a life-long resident of the area.
In addition to working for many years for Granites State Rubber Co, she dedicated herself to helping her community, volunteering over 15 years at Domestic Violence and almost 30 years at Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She also dedicated many years to Red Cross, Blood Mobile, Berlin Housing Authority, Senior Meals, and Salvation Army. She was a member of the AVH Auxiliary, MESH, and many other organizations. She was a member of the Good Shepard Parish.
Ednas enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and helping others. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister Rita Dutil; her first husband Wilfred E. Roy Sr.; her second husband Lucien Plante; and her sister in laws Lorraine Perry and Annette Perry. Brother in laws, Leo Belanger, Bud Fortier, Maurice Dutil and Joseph Kral.
She is survived by her daughter Gloria (Roy) Leclerc and husband Eugene of West Milan, NH; her son Wilfred E. Roy Jr. and wife Beverly of Groveton, NH; two brothers, Donald Perry of Berlin and Robert Perry also of Berlin; one sister, Dorothy Kral of Seminole, FL; step children from her second marriage; grandchildren Richard Roy and wife Liz of Parachute, CO; Jeana (Roy) Apling and husband Ike of North Pole, AK; Beverly (Roy) Westerdoll of Gakona, AK; Arthur Roy and wife Sarah of Navarre, FL; Kevin Roy and wife Tracy of Lancaster, NH; Roger Leclerc of West Milan, NH; Shelly (Leclerc) Lacasse and husband Kyle of New Hampton, NH; Kelly (Leclerc) Kenison and husband Zachary of West Milan, NH; 11 great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
There will be no calling hours or burial services held at this time. There will be a celebration of life held on a later date, at the convenience of the family.
