Edward A. Holt

Mr. Edward A. Holt, 73, of 701 Milan Rd., Milan, NH passed away on Tuesday November 30, 2010 at his home. He was born in Milan, NH on March 9, 1937 the son of the late Arnold and Hazel A. (Hawkins) Holt. He lived for a time in Connecticut and returned to Milan in the mid 1970s. He worked as a lineman for many years and owned and operated Holts General Store in Milan for 10 years. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging and his dog, Barney. He loved his hunting camp, was an avid reader, enjoyed his family and was proud of his grandchildren. Members of the family include his wife Martha (Gallagher) Holt of Milan, NH; 1 son Bradley Holt of Manchester, NH; 4 daughters Lynne Bacon of Dummer, NH, Mary Beth Pimental of Jackson, NH, Heather Mortenson of Newton Jct., NH and Holly Hawkins of Silver Lake, NH; 9 grandchildren Patrick, Katelyn, Aaron, Derek, Stephanie, Lauren, Ryan, Brinna and Zack; siblings Eunice, Janice, Raymond, Ira, Beverly, Elaine, Linda and Deanna; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Clyde and Harlan. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday December 3, 2010 from 3 to 5 PM at the Mahoosic Inn, Rte 16, Milan, NH. Private Interment will be held in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan. Donations in his memory may be made to Granite State Independent Living Foundation, 21 Chenell Dr., Concord, NH, 03301.
