Ella G. Blais, 95, formerly of Berlin, NH passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a period of declining health.
Born on October 29, 1917 in Berlin, NH, she was the daughter of the late William and Henriette (Landry) Gauvin. She attended Berlin Schools and married Leo A. Blais.
Together, they raised two daughters.
She was employed at Granite State Rubber as a stitcher for 17 years.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her greatest love was her family; she was a very loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed crochet, cards and especially bingo. Spending time with family and friends brought her great joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leo, 5 sisters and 5 brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Olive "Lolly" Bouchard of Homosassa, FL and Priscilla Blais of Burlington, VT, a brother Normand Gauvin of Lancaster, NH; 2 grandchildren Ron Bouchard and Maureen Aiken; 5 great grandchildren: Ronnie and Nathan Bouchard, Neill, Kendra and Matthew Aiken; 1 great-great grandson James Duke and several nieces and nephews
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, August 17 at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish in Berlin. The Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin.
A calling hour will be held from 8:30am to 9:30am Saturday, August 17 at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.
