Elsie M. Dupuis, 85, of Cedar Pond Drive, West Milan, NH, passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born in Iaeger, West Virginia on November 23, 1938 the daughter of the late James and Hattie (Waldron) Dawson and moved to New Hampshire in 1970. She owned and operated Norge Village, a commercial cleaning and laundry service with her husband. Elsie traveled the world with her husband’s career in the US Air Force, being stationed stateside coast to coast, and overseas in Asia. Elsie will be remembered for her big heart and her toughness: one who never complained about any situation no matter how dire it was. Her favorite saying was, “If something is bothering you, just throw it over your shoulder and move on.”
Family includes her children Donald Dupuis and wife Trish of Strafford, NH, Michael Dupuis and wife Samara of Bartlett, NH, Debra Poirier of Berlin, NH, Sandra Dumont and husband Mitch of Berlin, NH and Anna Mallett and her husband Craig of Murray, NE; siblings Lucille, Clinton and Carl; grandchildren Matthew, Mark and Tim Dupuis, Hollie Walters, Heather Markievitz, Shawn & Jason Dumont and Aaron Mallett; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Dupuis in 2013, her son Thomas Dupuis in 1981, and numerous siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday February 26, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Anne Campaign, c/o: Good Shepherd Parish, 151 Emery St., Berlin, NH 03570, for the restoration of the beautiful church in Berlin, NH.
