Emma B. Garneau

Emma B. Garneau, 104, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday November 16, 2023 at Merriman House in North Conway. She was born in Berlin on June 14, 1919 the daughter of Temple and Mary (Bass) Birt and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed as a receptionist for Dr. Ingalls and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. Emma volunteered with the AVH Auxiliary.

Family includes her children Clifford Carroll and wife Marie of Rome, NY, Sue Potter and husband Wentworth of Chesterfield, MO, Elizabeth Roy and husband Vaughn of Berlin, NH, Kathleen Bergeron and husband H. Edmund of North Conway, NH and George Carroll and wife Christine of Bradford, MA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband Clifford E. Carroll, her second husband Ernest Garneau as well as her siblings Leon Birt, Leona Birt, Edith Dalsimer and Alice Wheeler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish with interment following in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am, prior to the mass.
