Evelyn Lowell

Mrs. Evelyn (Erickson) Lowell, 93, formerly of 356 Norway St., Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday afternoon November 17, 2005 at the St. Vincent de Paul Health Care Center in Berlin. She was born in Berlin, NH on October 25, 1912 the daughter of Robert and Dagne (Mason) Erickson and was a graduate of Deaconess Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and was a US Navy nurse for many years in Norfolk, VA. After her service as a nurse during WW2 she continued to work as a nurse in Norfolk until she returned to Berlin in the 1960's. Mrs. Lowell then was employed at the local hospitals. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star, where she was secretary in Virginia for many years. Members of her family include 2 sisters Beverly Erickson (Laffendre) Chess of Norman, Oklahoma and Marlene McGivney of Hanson, MA; nieces, nephews and cousins. SERVICES: A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Russian City Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Norway Street, Berlin, NH. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
