George L. Mullen

George L. Mullen, 83, of Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday May 11, 2014 at his home. He was born in Berlin on April 29, 1931 the son of the late Andrew and Valentine (Belanger) Mullen and was a lifelong resident of Berlin.He attended St.Patrick School and graudated from Berlin High. George had served with the US Navy during the Korean War. He had been employed by Brown Company, James River, Crown Vantage, Nadeau Lumber and New England Lumber. He was a logging instructor and drove for Berlin City. George was a member of the VFW and the Eagles and enjoyed sports and playing cards. He wintered in Florida and enjoyed spending time with his daughter and his family. Family includes his wife Jeannette (Melanson) Mullen of Berlin, NH; daughter Gail Drouin and husband David of Merrimack, NH; grandchildren Jay and Ethan Drouin and brother Norman Mullen of Woodsville, NH; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Gary Mullen and a brother Donald Mullen. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave, Berlin on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to Northwoods Home Health and Hospice, Muscular Dystrophy or the American Cancer Society.
