Germaine V. Niquette Landry

With profound sadness, we announce that on December 17, 2024, Germaine Violet Niquette Landry passed away peacefully at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, NH, surrounded by her family. Germaine was born on September 10, 1933 to the late Camille F. and Jeannette (Barrette) Arpin. She grew up on Cascade Hill in Gorham, NH and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Berlin in 1951. She had a good sense of humor, was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, and loved spending time with family and friends. She was a dedicated sales women at Langis Shoe Store in Berlin for many years. Later, she worked at the Everglades Resort in West Palm Beach, Florida before retiring.

Germaine is survived by her three daughters: Susan Martlock of Gorham, NH, Cheryl Niquette and her husband Jerry Schwartz of Glide, OR and Janet Poirier and husband David of Gorham, NH; her sons Steven Niquette of Gilmanton, NH and Richard Niquette and fiancé Kathy Gath of Alton, NH; seven grandchildren: Deven Niquette, Kyle Poirier, Camile Craffey, Benjamin Poirier, Steven Niquette, Jr., Carmen Quinlan and Janelle Martlock; two great grandchildren: Noah Poirier and Jack Craffey; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her former husband Joachim Niquette, her husband Maurice Landry, her brother Norman Arpin and her half-brother Dennis Arpin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Bryant Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.bryantfuneralhome.net.
