Mrs. Gloria D. Marchand, 82, of 20 Ramsey St., Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday February 17, 2011 at the Country Village Nursing Home in Lancaster, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH on July 23, 1928 the daughter of Henry and Ida (Biron) Jacques and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed by Brown Company in the towel division. Gloria was a member of Good Shepherd Parish, helped out with the church BINGO, worked at senior meals and service link. She also volunteered at the information booth in Gorham and enjoyed helping out with the Knights of Columbus. Members of the family include her husband Edgar Marchand of Lancaster, NH; 1 son Ronald Marchand of Fayetteville, NC; 3 daughters Priscilla Cloutier of Rocky Hill, CT, Rose Marchand of Manchester, NH and Denise Gagne of Gorham, ME; grandchildren Christine Cloutier, Kathy and Brian Tucker, Kelly and Brian Cloutier, Jeremy Gagne, Brandon Gagne and Daniel and Dana Marchand; 1 great-grandchild Olivia Cloutier; 2 sisters Lorraine Dube of Bridgton, ME and Jeannette Carpenter of Naples, ME and 1 brother Laurier Jacques of Riverhead, Long Island, NY. She was predeceased by her siblings Alva Jacques, Irene OConnor, Cecile Jacques and Eugene Jacques. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
