Grace E. (Smith) Perry

Mrs. Grace E. (Smith) Perry, 89, of Berlin, NH passed away on September 6, 2009 at the Country Village Center in Lancaster, NH. She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada on November 5, 1919 the daughter of James F. and Edith E. (Easterfield) Smith and came to the United States as a child. Grace lived most of her life in Berlin and had resided for a time in Massachusetts and returned to Berlin in 1975 after her husbands retirement. She loved time spent with her family, playing Bingo and also enjoyed traveling. Members of the family include her son Leo J. Perry Jr. of Pelham, NH; two daughters Doreen Ryan of Everett, MA and Gail Poulin and her husband Marc of Errol, NH; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; two sisters Lena Robinson of Berlin, NH and Joyce Marino of Everett, MA; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Leo J. Perry in 1976 and by a son Richard A. Perry in 2001. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Friday Sept. 11, 2009 at 10 AM in the Chapel of the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH. Interment will be at a later date in the Russian City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes may make a donation to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
