Helen E. Sturtevant

Mrs. Helen E. (White) Sturtevant Mrs. S., age 69, of 538 Burgess Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Sunday May 15, 2005 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. She was born in Haverhill, MA on Sept 10, 1935 the daughter of Hurbert and Phyllis (Kittredge) White has lived in Berlin since 1987. She was self employed as a professional seamstress. Mrs. Sturtevant was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Randolph and was a Girl Scout Leader for the past 16 years. She was Service Unit Manager of the Girl Scouts for 2 years and had recently received the Appreciation Pin from the Swift Water Girl Scout Council for all of her years of dedication to Girl Scouting. Members of the family include her daughter Debra Calderon of Berlin; 4 grandchildren Lani Calderon of Berlin, Tiffany Thorgerson of Berlin, David Calderon of Atkinson and William Abbott of Atkinson; 4 great granddaughters Sasha Abbott of Atkinson, Sherry Abbott and Shania Abbott, both of Gorham and Tianna Calderon of Berlin; a brother James Pickering of Danville; a sister Phyllis Parker of Haverhill, MA; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Irving Sturtevant. CALLING HOURS will be held on Thursday May 19, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin. A celebration of her life will be held at a date and time to be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Helen Sturtevant Fund, C/O her family.
