Herman O. Mortenson

Herman Oleson Mortenson, 58, of 148 Green Street, Berlin passed away at his home after a period of declining health. He was born May 13, 1950 in Berlin, the son of Theodore(Ted) and Sophie(Smith) Mortenson. Herman was raised in the Berlin/ Milan area, graduated from Berlin High School and attended Keene State College. He was previously employed at the Mount Washington Autoroad and clerked at several local businesses in later years. Herman enjoyed family, reading, cooking, gardening and conversations with people on current events. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Berlin. Survived by two sons, Andrew of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Arik of Essex Junction, Vermont, his mother Sophie of Berlin, a sister Roberta Bradstreet and husband Tim of Gorham, a brother Robert and wife Cindy of Milan, and a niece and several nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Theodore, and a sister Nancy Emery. A Graveside Service will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Milan, NH in September 2009.
