Jackson E. Penney, 23, of Gorham, passed away on Tuesday September 27, 2016. He was born in Berlin on December 20, 1992 the son of Daniel Penney and Susan (Lord) Penney and was a lifelong resident of Gorham. He graduated from Gorham High School in 2011 and was currently attending White Mountain Community College. Jackson was an excellent musician and drummer and had been a member of many local bands, the last one being Steel Sorrow. He loved the outdoors, kayaking, swimming, snowboarding, soccer and hiking. He loved his nephews and his niece and playing with them. He was preparing for his confirmation in Holy Family Church with Father Kyle. Family includes his mother Susan (Lord) Penney of Gorham; his father and stepmother Daniel and Elizabeth Penney of Gorham; sister Moriah Penney and companion Bobby Remillard of Gorham; maternal grandmother Helen Lord of Pittsburg; stepsisters Nicole Calton of Keene and Abigail Tietjen of Frisco, CO; niece and nephews Trevor Penney, Anna Remillard and Blake Remillard; aunts, uncles and cousins and his wonder dog, Jordan. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Lester Lord and his paternal grandparents David and Beverly Penney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will follow. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
