Janice L. Corcoran

Janice L. Corcoran, 89, of Milan, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on October 1, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1934 in Rumford, ME, the daughter of the late Arnold and Hazel (Hawkins) Holt. Janice was raised In the Milan-Dummer area and attended local schools. She was a member of the Word of God Christian Church in Dummer, where she enjoyed singing gospels and was part of the prayer group. Janice enjoyed music and playing the guitar; she especially loved time spent with her family and her fur babies.

Family includes her children, Martin Corcoran of Stafford Springs, CT; Brenda Freeland and husband Charles, also of Stafford Springs; Brian Corcoran of Milan, NH; Sharon Fortin and husband James of Gorham, NH; and Robert Corcoran and wife Kelley of Dummer, NH; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings Ira Holt and wife Louise of Gorham, Beverly Kennard of Berlin, Eunice Fontaine of Lancaster, NH, and Linda Tennis and husband Jim of Dummer; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Corcoran, and her siblings Harlan Holt, Clyde Holt, Raymond Holt, Edward Holt, Elaine Smith, and Deanna Bryant.

A funeral service will be held on Monday October 9, 2023 at 11 AM at the Word of God Christian Church in Dummer. Interment will follow at the Willis Cemetery in Dummer. There will be no calling hours; those who wish may make donations in Janice’s memory to the Word of God Christian Church, 11 Hill Road, Dummer, NH 03588.
