Jean Susan Mainguy, 59, of Milan, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2014 at her home. She was born in Boston, MA on June 19, 1954 the daughter of Leo J. and Helen (Loven) Mainguy and was a lifelong resident of the Berlin-Milan area. Jean had been employed by the State of New Hampshire for many years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Councilor. She was a very active athlete, who was involved in several local leagues and directed them. She enjoyed time spent relaxing at the beach with friends, was very devoted to her animals and enjoyed her flower gardens. She is survived by her brother Richard L. Mainguy of Berlin; aunts Lucille Mainguy and Shirley Bockman, both of Berlin; an uncle Robert Butch Loven and his wife Karen of Dummer; and cousins. Jean was predeceased by her parents and her companion Dick Labrecque. SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will follow in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH on Tuesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the American Diabetes Foundation or to the Local Humane Society.
