Jean T. (Tankard) Plummer, 84, of Berlin, died on Sunday April 12, 2015 at the Coos County Nursing Home. She was born in Berlin on September 15, 1930 the daughter of Harold and Olga (Halvorson) Tankard and graduated from Berlin High. She had lived throughout the US for 35 years, returning to Berlin in the mid 1990s. Jean was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the North Country Senior Action, for which she received a Volunteer of the Year Award. While residing in Maryland, she owned and operated an antique and collectible shop and promoted antiques and Flea Market shows at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Family includes her son E. Wayne Plummer and wife Mary Jo of Jacksonville, FL; grandson Eric Plummer of Starkville, MS; brothers Clifford Tankard and wife Emily of Berlin, NH and Harold Hud Tankard and wife Claudette of Manchester, NH; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters Carrie Bonnie, Lois Froding and Pauline Hodgman, ex-husband Emery W. Plummer and a dear friend Arthur A. Sipes. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday April 18, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 101 Norway St., Berlin. Interment will be in the Russian City Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
