Jeanne D'Arc (Fecteau) Garon

Mrs. Jeanne dArc Garon passed away peacefully at her home on September 17, 2018 surrounded by her children at the beautiful age of 96 years old. She was a devout Catholic and member of Guardian Angel Church/Good Shepherd Parish. She was born to Albert and Ida Fecteau on May 4, 1922. She attended Angel Guardian School. She worked at Brown Company in the Towel Room until her marriage to Rene J. Garon on June 11, 1945.



Our moms joy was with her family, having us together for holidays, "popcorn night", or just dropping in. She loved to bake cookies, donuts and meat pies. There was never a shortage of food. She was a devoted homemaker and always putting the needs of others first.



Mom had a strong devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and had organized a monthly rosary at Guardian Angel Church and later at Good Shepherd Parish. She served as sacristan at Guardian Angel for 25 years. Her devotion led her to a pilgrimage to Fatima with the Blue Army and on two other pilgrimages to Fatima, Lourdes, and Rome.



She was predeceased by her husband Rene J. Garon, a son Denis, and an infant daughter Marie, her grandson Adam Garon and her son-in-law Andre Caron, along with her parents and siblings; Beatrice Cusson, Leo Fecteau, Gerard Fecteau, Rita Bergeron, Laura Maurais and Laurette Croteau.



She leaves behind two sons and two daughters, Laurent (Larry) Garon and his wife Maggie, Colette Caron (Andre), Estelle Lamontagne and husband Roland Jr. and Andre (Andy) Garon and wife Linda, two granddaughters Amy Welch and Dr. Kelly Wood and her husband Keith, two great grandsons, Connor Welch and Dmitri Wood, a step-granddaughter Hope Hayes, step-grandson Nikos Tsoules and a special niece Diane Croteau as well as several nieces and nephews.



Callings hours will be held on Wednesday, September 19th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Thursday, September 20th from 9:30am to 10:30am at Fleury-Patry Funeral Home, 72 High Street, Berlin, NH.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 20th at 11:00am at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish.
