John E. Hedberg

John E. Hedberg, 53, of Jamaica Plain, MA passed away on Thursday September 22, 2016 at the Seasons Hospice in Milton, MA. He was born in Fairfield, CT on June 28, 1963 the son of William L. and Gloria (Bourgeois) Hedberg and moved to Stark in 1977. He graduated from Groveton High School in 1981. He then received a dual Bachelors Degree from UNH and the University of San Diego. John had resided for a time in Australia and then in the Boston, MA area for the past 18 years. He had been employed by the Department of Energy for many years and enjoyed his dogs and being in the outdoors with them. Family includes his mother Gloria (Bourgeois) Hedberg of Stark, NH; sister Donna Hedberg of Portsmouth, NH; brother Theodore Hedberg of Dover, NH; nephews William Hedberg, Christopher Hedberg, Nathan Singh and Ryan Singh; cousins and his partner Stephen Giosi of Jamaica Plain, MA. He was predeceased by his father William L. Hedberg. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2016 at 1 PM at the Northumberland Cemetery in Northumberland, NH. Reverend Daniel Deveau will officiate. Donations in his memory may be made to Seasons Hospice House, 597 Randolph Ave., Milton, MA, 02186. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
