Joseph G. "Joey" Martin

Joseph G. Joey Martin, 56, of Berlin, passed away on Sunday December 27, 2015 at his home. He was born in Berlin on February 11, 1959 the son of Joseph and Denise (Tardiff) Martin and lived in Berlin most of his life. He had been employed as an iron worker for Hephaestus Corp. and Cianbro Corp., as a foreman for Isaacsons and lastly as a Building Inspector/Code Enforcement for the City of Berlin. He had also been employed part time for Rob Bolash. Joey enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, hockey in his younger years and most importantly, he enjoyed time spent with his family at camp. He had played hockey for the Berlin Junior Maroons, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 1976-1977, the International Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals in 1979 and the Senior Maroons in the 1980s. Family includes his wife Debbie (Tanguay) Martin of Berlin, NH; children Craig Martin and wife Crystal of Berlin, NH, Tia Martin of Gorham, NH and Cody Martin and wife Alyssa of Berlin, NH; grandchildren Oliva and Emma Martin, Amber Wilson and Aiden and Abel Martin; mother Denise (Tardiff) Martin; brothers Dennis Martin, Tommy Martin and wife Monique and Robby Martin all of Berlin, NH; sister Jennifer Lachapelle and husband Mark of Gilford, NH; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Joe Bear Martin. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 31, 2015 at 10 AM at the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church. Interment will be in the Songo Pond Road Cemetery in Bethel, ME at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
