Katrina J. Fowler

Katrina J. Fowler, 66, of Berlin, NH, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster.  She was born in Concord, NH on February 6, 1958 the daughter of the late Richard T. and Joan (Crosbie) Fowler.  Early in her life, she grew up on the family dairy farm in Epsom, graduating from Epsom Central School and Pembroke Academy.  She went on to attend Rhode Island College (1980) and the University of New Hampshire obtaining her Master’s in Education.  For many years, she taught Special Education classes as a Reading Specialist for Spaulding Youth Center, Berlin Junior High School and Gorham Middle-High School, retiring in 2019.  Katrina was active in the Theatre North acting group and the jazz band.   She was passionate about music, playing piano and guitar, also teaching lessons to numerous people in the Berlin-Gorham community over the years.  She was involved with the Berlin Rec Department for many years, and taught classes during summer months at White Mountain Community College.  

Katrina is survived by her sisters Katherine Becker and Robert of Sudbury, MA, Kathleen Griffin and John of Framingham, MA, and Karen Gunterman and John of Glover, VT; nieces and nephew: Aliza Becker, Jennifer Spencer, Ben Becker, Victoria Gunterman, Elizabeth Ellis, and Kaitlyn Griffin; 5 great-nieces; many cousins and countless friends.

Services to honor Katrina will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at 2pm at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin, NH.  Relatives and friends will be welcome to visit the family from 1-2pm prior to the service.  A graveside service will take place on a future date at the New Rye Cemetery, Epsom, NH where she will be laid to rest beside her parents.  Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude (www.stjude.org).
