Keith E. Whitten

Keith E. Whitten, 58, of Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday May 18, 2013. He was born in Waterville, ME on May 18, 1955 the son of the late James and Laura (Hoxie) Whitten and lived his early life in Gorham, ME. He graduated from Gorham High School with the Class of 1973 and attended the University of Southern Maine. In the early years of their marriage, Sharon and Keith lived first in Portland, ME, then in Limerick, ME. They also spent several years in Florida, Vermont and southern New Hampshire before moving to Berlin in 1999. He was most recently employed as a lift operator at Bretton Woods. He had served as an ambulance attendant with the Limerick Maine Rescue Squad and volunteered in the Adaptive Sports Program, first at Bretton Woods and then with the Adaptive Sports Partners of the North Country. Members of the family include his wife of 31 years Sharon Whitten of Berlin; brothers Charles Whitten of Gorham, ME and Kendall Whitten of Honolulu, HA; nephews Dan Whitten and Brad Whitten of Windham, ME and Jamie Whitten of Honolulu, HA; nieces Amelia Whitten and Laura Ai Whitten of Guam. A celebration of Keiths life will held on Saturday June 1, at 1 PM at the Bretton Woods Ski Lodge.
