Mr. Kenneth Earl Young, 76, of Manchester, NH died Sunday December 23, 2007 at Harborside Healthcare in Bedford, NH. Mr. Young was born on Feb. 9, 1931 in Dummer, NH, the son of Henry A. and Florence B. (Sias) Young. He was married to Lucy Ruth Robinson on Sept. 21, 1957. They lived in the Dummer-Milan area until 1965, when they moved to Manchester. He worked at the Kalwall Corporation, in Manchester for 30 years. Mr. Young was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing. He liked listening to country music, especially George Jones. He served in the military and was active in Italy during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his brothers, Norman Young and Sherman Young. He is survived by his loving family including, his wife Lucy Ruth of Manchester, NH; his children Darlene Chevrette and her husband Brian of Manchester, and Jason Young of Manchester; his brothers Gordon Young of Dunbarton, Gilbert Young and Harold Young, both of Hooksett; his sisters Kathleen White of Lancaster, Bette Blake of Hooksett, Joyce Bishop of Berlin and Lorna Brown of Manchester; several nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. SERVICES: Calling hours will be held at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut Street, Manchester on Friday Dec. 28, 2007 from 7 to 9 PM. A calling hour will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM on Saturday Dec. 29, 2007 at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM at the Dummer Community Church, 509 Hill Rd., Dummer, NH. Interment will follow at the Willis Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Mr. Youngs name to The Make-A-Wish Foundation, 814 Elm St., Suite 300, Manchester, NH 03101 or to the Dummer Community Church, 509 Hill Rd., Dummer, NH 03588.
