Mrs. Lois A. Lavertue, 73, of 171 High Street, Berlin, NH passed away on Wednesday April 8, 2009 at her home. She was born in Berlin, NH on August 20, 1935 the daughter of Gerard E. and Bridgette H. (Roy) Laforce and was a lifelong resident. She had been employed by Morrison Cleaners as a presser, then was co-owner of La Bon Appetite with Colleen Cloutier. She retired from the Holiday Center 2 years ago. She was a member of St. Kieran Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Lois enjoyed her family very much and was well known for her meat pies. Members of the family include her husband of nearly 55 years Raymond E. Lavertue of Berlin, NH: 2 sons Gerard Lavertue and wife Margo of Milan, NH and Wayne Lavertue and wife Debra Fraser of Georgia, VT; 3 grandchildren Cassandra Fraser, Brian Wilmoth and wife Jill and Nifa Wilmoth and companion Tyrone Mickelboro; 2 great-grandchildren Uilliam Wilmoth and Hattie Mickelboro; 4 sisters Peggy Qualls of Gorham, NH, Esther Gilbert of Gorham, NH, Molly Olmstead and husband Keith of Gorham, NH and Gerry Parks of Fayetteville, NC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and a son Raymond Lavertue, Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 14, 2009 at 11 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant St., Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Monday evening from 6 - 9 PM.
