Louise Ann Goforth, 83, of Gorham, NH passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital. She was born in Carroll, NH on January 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Everett W. and Anna M. (Chapman) Barker. They lived in Twin Mountain until she was 18. She then lived in Ticonderoga, NY before moving to Rochester, NY for 30 years. Louise and her late husband, Thomas R. Goforth, lived in Brownsville, TX for 30 years before she moved back to New Hampshire in 2021. Late in life, Louise earned a Master's in History and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Brownsville Campus. Louise enjoyed artistic creative endeavors of all kinds, including painting, sculpture, and knitting.
Family includes her seven children: Robert Livingston of Rochester, NY; Alicia Livingston of Rochester, NY; Stephanie Livingston-Heywood (Tim Heywood) of Honeoye Falls, NY; Sonja Livingston (Jim Mott) of Rochester, NY; Melody Barker of Gorham, NH; Sarah Skye of Rochester, NY; many grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son John Livingston; her brothers: Donald Barker and Robert Barker, and her devoted husband, Thomas Goforth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1 PM at Holy Family Church in Gorham. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
