Marcel Pouliot, 89, formerly of Coos County Nursing Home, passed away peacefully at his sons home, surrounded by his family on Monday October 2, 2006. Marcel was born on April 28, 1917, the son of Frederick and Albina (Lantagne) Pouliot. He lived in Berlin most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a union carpenter in Boston. In his early years, he loved working as a logger. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed watching many different sports. He was a member of St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for over 50 years. Members of the family include his sons: Paul and his wife Susan of Titusville, FL; George and his fiancee Cheryl Castelin of Winter Park, FL; Rene and his wife Pauline of Berlin, NH; Raymond and his wife Paula of Omaha, NB; Normand and his wife Marie of Milan, NH; Gerard and his wife Debbie of Klamath Falls, OR; his daughter-in-law Velma Brightman of Plaistow, NH; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Irene (Fortier) Pouliot in 1998 and his son Leo Pouliot in 1985. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning October 6, 2006 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish, 345 Pleasant Street, Berlin, NH. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin on Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
