Marie A. Canning

Marie A. (Morin) Canning, 64, of Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 3, 2023, while listening to her favorite music. Marie courageously battled metastatic breast cancer for over a decade, a testament to her tenacious, small but mighty presence.

Marie was born in Berlin, NH, on July 13, 1959, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Lorraine (Perreault) Morin. A devoted mother and Memere to her grandchildren, she was also a dear sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend. Marie possessed the rare gift of bringing laughter to any situation and brightening the lives of all those fortunate enough to be in her company.

Marie's radiance extended beyond her family and friends; she was also beloved by her coworkers and customers at the Yokohama, where she worked for many years. Whether kayaking, skiing, or sailing, nature was her playground, especially when enjoyed with her 'Tuesday Funday Girls.' Her zest for life was as boundless as the landscapes she adored. Marie loved baking and sharing her baked goods with those around her.

Marie joins her late husband, Peter, who passed in 2015. She leaves behind her daughters, Heather and Ashley; son-in-law, Jeff Seuss; grandchildren, Lexi, Ayla, Parker; siblings Denise, Claudette, Pauline, Robert, Lucien, and Theresa; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by brothers Claude, Albert, and Leo.

Marie's passing leaves a void in the lives of her family and friends, but her spirit will continue to 'fly high' in the many lives she touched. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and the gift of laughter. A celebration of Marie's life will be held on Friday, October 13th from 1-3pm with a service beginning at 3 pm at Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin.
