Marie L. Krantz

Mrs. Marie L. Krantz, 83, formerly of 22 Jordan Ave., Berlin, NH passed away on January 13, 2011 at the Country Village Healthcare Center in Lancaster, NH. She was born in St. Giles, PQ, Canada on October 22, 1927 the daughter of Willie and Alexina (Delage) Hamel and moved to Berlin at age 5. She moved to Florida in 1978 where she met her husband Stephen Krantz. They later moved to Buffalo, NY and she returned to Berlin in February 2007. She had been employed as owner and operator of Blanchettes Market. Members of the family include her daughter Annette Gosselin and husband Richard of Berlin, NH; her son Roger Grondin and wife Patti of Jefferson, NH; a step-daughter Nancy A. Fenzl and husband William of Buffalo, NY; grandsons George Treamer and wife Katie of Conway, NH and Thomas Fenzl of Buffalo, NY; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands Lionel Grondin, Roland Charest and Stephen Krantz, a grandson Paul A. Grondin, a step-son Stephen Krantz, brothers Edgar Hamel, Peter Hamel, Rene Hamel and Richard Hamel and sisters Rose Dube, Blanche Parent and Bertha Riendeau. SERVICES: Graveside Services will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 1 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Berlin. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
