Mary E. Trapp

Mary E. Trapp, 92, of Maitland, FL, passed away on November 21, 2024. She was born in Berlin, NH on August 21, 1932, the daughter of the late C. Edward and Marian (Duggan) Morton, and was a graduate of Berlin High School. Mary was a 1954 graduate of Keene State Teachers College and worked as a school teacher in Germany for seven years, spending the rest of her career teaching for the town of Vernon, CT schools. She moved to Florida after retiring in 1990. Mary enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and her summers spent at the family cottage on Lake Winnisquam.

Family includes her son Scott Morton of Bailey, CO; grandson Walker J. Morton, USAF, currently stationed in Germany; nephews Douglas Morton of California and Kurt Morton of New Hampshire; and a niece Karen Morton of Venice, FL. She was predeceased by her parents; brothers John D. Morton, Sr., and Charles E. Morton; and by her nephews, John D. Morton, Jr. and Darren Morton.

In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there will be no services. Interment will be held privately in Russian City Cemetery, Berlin. Arrangements are entrusted to the Bryant Funeral Homes of Berlin & Gorham, NH. Memories and condolences may be shared online at www.bryantfuneralhome.net
