Michael E. Gagne

December 22, 1961 — May 27, 2024

Milan, NH

Michael Gagne, 62, passed away on May 27, 2024, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Michael was born on December 22, 1961, to Frederick and Lorraine Gagne of Dummer, NH.  At an early age Michael joined forces with his father and together Gagne and Sons Logging was built. It was in this venture that Michael gained the opportunity to jump into his first log truck and from there his thirst for the road grew. Michael’s love for the road had him venturing and hauling wood at all hours of the day, and night, through snow, sleet and rain, no obstacle could hold him back from making a successful delivery. As time passed Michael branched off on his own and successfully built and operated Mike Gagne Trucking.

It was rare one would see Michael far from his truck but occasionally he could be found enjoying the back country of NH on his side by side with his wife and friends or heightening his love of the road on his motorcycle. Michael’s trademark was his purple tractor trailer truck, hard work and unwavering dedication to his work, family and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his brother Scott Gagne.

He is survived by his wife Vicky Gillingham Gagne of Milan, NH, daughter Haleigh Ciampa and her husband Nicolas of Barnstead, NH, his loyal companion Piper, his parents Frederick and Lorraine Gagne of Dummer, NH, sister Deborah Gagne of Hooksett, NH, best friend Norman Sevigny and his wife Nona of Milan, NH, brother in-law Ron Gillingham of Windber, PA, nieces Brooke Smith, Blaire Gillingham and nephew Jake Gillingham.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the care team at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH for the incredible care provided to Michael as well as the numerous friends who have reached out with their time, love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7, 2024 from 4-8pm at Heritage Park, Main St., Berlin, NH.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s memory may be made to Northwoods Cancer Survivors, c/o: Linda Morris, 24 ½ Wood St., Berlin, NH 03570.

Arrangements are entrusted to Bryant Funeral Homes & Crematory.
