Michael R. "Six String" Lizotte

March 6, 1967 — November 4, 2023

Berlin, NH

Michael R. “Six String” Lizotte, 56, Berlin, NH died unexpectedly on November 4th, 2023. Mike was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, and friend to so many. Mike started his life out with a love of music that lived in his soul throughout his life. From an early age, you could find him with headphones on, listening intently to music and tapping his foot to the rhythm. It wasn’t long and he had drumsticks in his hands and later picked up the guitar and never looked back. With a natural gift of playing by ear, there wasn’t much music that Mike couldn’t play. In high school he formed a band called Krisis with his friends and even took his skills to southern New Hampshire for a while and while that was fun for him, the mountains and his family always called him back home. This is where he met his longtime wife and partner Sherry Wyman. Together they built a life together that involved long nights playing gigs in their band Rock Bottom and moving band equipment while raising a beautiful daughter who was the apple of Mike’s eye. Whenever you asked Mike how Alyssa was, he always lit up from head to toe to give you the latest about her…., and when his two grandsons were born, Mike really felt complete. Mike was also a proud member of the Flying Iron Motorcycle Club in Bethlehem, NH. Flying down the road, getting “Wind Therapy” with his brothers was something that he cherished greatly.

Mike is survived by his wife, Sherry of 37 years, his daughter Alyssa and her husband Matthew LeBlanc and their two sons Colin and Brady. His mother, Jeannette Lizotte, Groveton, NH. His sister Melinda Martin and her husband George, Groveton, NH.  His sister Deborah, Groveton, NH. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Paul Wyman and his wife Kristen of Plaistow, NH and all his brothers at the Flying Iron MC. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lizotte, his sister, Sharon Poulin, his father-in-law, Frank Kukene and his mother-in-law, Doreen Kukene.

Mike was a huge member of his community. He gave of himself freely and without asking for a thing in return. He was the kindest man that most people had the gift to know. He put the Christmas tree up in Veteran’s Park for years and donated his time playing benefits to raise money for different causes.
