Mildred V. (Arey) Oleson

Mrs. Mildred V. (Arey) Oleson, 82, formerly of Norway St., Berlin, NH passed away on Saturday evening July 9, 2005 at the Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in North Conway. She was born in Waltham, MA on Nov. 10, 1922 the daughter of Harold B. and Minnie (Hoffses) Arey and had resided in Concord, NH in her younger years and later moved to Berlin, where she spent most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for 30 years, sang in the church choir and had led the Junior Choir for many years. She was also a member and Past President of the Church Council. Mrs. Oleson was a finalist in the International Society of Poets Competition in Washington, DC in 1994 and was a member of the NH Extention Coop. Members of the family include two daughters Nancy Oleson of Bartlett, NH and Jean Longval of Bedford, NH; a grandson Tom Longval of Manchester, NH. She was predeceased by her husband George E. Oleson in 1994 and by a son John G. Oleson in 1992. SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning July 13, 2005 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, corner of Norway & Seventh Streets in Berlin. Interment will follow in the New City Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, NH on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
