Minnie (Downes) Oleson

Minnie (Downes) Oleson, 96, passed away Sunday April 1, 2018 at the St. Vincent de Paul Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Berlin. She was born in Berlin on March 2, 1922 the daughter of the late Ira and Cecilia (Martin) Downes and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, an active member of the Women of St. Paul and an active volunteer with the Salvation Army. She worked in the Berlin Public School System Cafeterias for many years. Members of the family include her son Kris Oleson of Berlin; a sister Lorraine Downes Quiram and husband Ray of Berlin; many nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice, four brothers and five sisters. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00pm, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Norway St., Berlin. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin on Friday evening from 6-8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
